This is from a scene in RA Salvatore's "Servant of the Shard," in which Artemis and Jarlaxle visit a tavern-bar thingy in some random village and in order to [hopefully] keep the village citizens from killing Jarlaxle on sight because he's a dark elf, he pretends he's Drizzt the do-gooder drow. The plan doesn't go over too well, as Jarlaxle is flamboyant and over-the-top... yeah.
I found it amusing.
